The Mont Saint Michel
The Mont Saint Michel Stands in the middle of the bay welcoming 3.5 million visitors each year on pilgrimage or just tourists.
At the entrance of the city you will find the old guardroom "des bourgeois" opposite the canons sheltering the tourist office.
Passing the "gate de boulevard"and the Roy with it's drawbridge you will meet the "grand rue" with its museums, shops and houses from the 15th and 16th century and is dedicated to Saint Peter, patron of fishermen.
Finally the climb of the grand Degre is a prelude and marvel to a visit to the abbey.
Once you have visited the abbey you can contemplate it's beauty over the bay by walking down the steps of the remparts or by choosing the round route on your left weaving through the little gardens.
