What to see in Combourg

The Chateau of Combourg is immortilised by the 'father' of Romantism . Chateaubriand, soldier, writer and politician   spent his childhood there. The family Chateaubriand aquired the chateau in 1761

This mediaeval fortress from the 12th to 15th century is beautifully conserved and furnished, still belonging to the descendants of the family.

Open to the public from April to October
